GameTape ("we," "our," "the Platform") provides this Privacy Policy to describe what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.

Player Information (provided via consent form):

We collect identification information (name, jersey number, team affiliation), performance statistics, and media (photos, video recordings) as provided through the Player Participation & Media Consent Form.

Spectator Information:

We may collect self-chosen nicknames and prediction submissions for entertainment features. We do not require spectators to create accounts or provide personal information to view games or stats.

Automatically Collected:

We use functional session cookies for authentication purposes only. We do not use analytics, tracking, or advertising cookies.

2. How We Use Information

• Display live game statistics and operate the Platform
• Generate post-game stat cards and highlight content
• Maintain player profiles, season averages, and leaderboards
• Share content on associated channels (with player consent)

We may use de-identified, aggregated data for analytics, product development, research, and business purposes.

3. Information Sharing

We do NOT:

• Sell personal information to any third party
• Share personal information with advertisers
• Use personal information for targeted advertising

We DO:

• Display player names, jersey numbers, and statistics publicly on the Platform (players consent to this via the consent form)
• Share compiled performance data with sponsoring organizations and program administrators
• Share aggregated, non-personally-identifiable data with partners, sponsors, or third parties for analytical or promotional purposes

4. Data Storage and Security

• Data is stored using industry-standard cloud infrastructure
• All connections are protected via encrypted connections
• Admin access is protected with secure session tokens
• We store the minimum data necessary to operate the Platform
• We do not store passwords, financial information, Social Security numbers, or other sensitive personal data

5. Data Retention

• Player statistics and profiles are retained for the duration of the season and any subsequent seasons
• Generated content (stat cards, clips) is retained indefinitely unless deletion is requested

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
• Correction: Request correction of inaccurate information
• Deletion: Request deletion of your personal information. We will delete your data within 30 days of a valid request, except where retention is required by law.
• Withdraw Consent: Withdraw your media consent at any time by contacting us in writing.

7. Children's Privacy

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent. Our consent form includes a parent/guardian signature section for participants under 18. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 13 without parental consent, we will delete that information promptly.

We use third-party service providers for hosting, content delivery, and media services. These providers process data according to their own privacy policies. We do not control how these services handle data that passes through their infrastructure.

We use essential functional cookies for authentication. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
